DELIS Alimentari are
everywhere and are generally
open 7am - 1.30pm / 5pm - 8pm
everyday except Thursday afternoon
and Sunday (during summer they
are often closed Sat. afternoon
instead of Thurs). Here you
can buy great bread at reasonable
prices, but be warned, Italian
bread is never great the next
day. You can also pick up milk,
cheeses and white pizza etc.
They also make up fresh sandwiches,
but these can sometimes be more
expensive than ready made sandwiches
from a bar.
Fruit and Vegetable Markets
are among the best spots in
Rome. Lively, loud and colorful.
They usually open by 7am and
close at 1.30pm, Mon-Sat.
7)Campo deí Fiori The
most popular, where colorful
fruit and flowers are overlooked
by the austere hooded statue
of Giordano Bruno. Bus: 64,
62, get off at Largo Argentina.

you are on your way to the Vatican
Museums, this market in Via
Andrea Doria is handy and cheap.

Vittorio 10 min walk South
of Termini you will find this
fresh fruit market which circles
an interesting park.
Other Fruit and Vegetable
Markets are just North of
Termini on Via Milazzo and Via
Montebello. The most sophisticated
market is Via Bocca Leone, by
the Spanish Steps.
